Solaris

Some people are still afraid of AI interference in the traditional film-making process. However, we already know that artificial intelligence does not replace human creativity, but enriches it. It enables filmmakers to exceed the limits of their imagination, expanding human boundaries and cinematic experiences. The effects of human work and artificial intelligence are something that currently amazes us.

Stanisław Lem, one of the most important Polish writers, published the novel “Solaris” in 1961. He was ahead of the times. Already then, he was discussing the topics of artificial intelligence and the relationship between man and machine. In his book, he questioned human consciousness in the context of an encounter with an intelligent planet.

In “Cyberiad”, Lem examined the creativity and autonomy of highly advanced robots, while raising ethical issues. “Golem XIV” warned of the dangers of creating superintelligent AI, highlighting potential conflicts between creators and their creations.

In his philosophical essay “Summa Technologiae”, Lem considered the existential implications of AI. His writings encourage reflection on the ethical, philosophical and existential aspects of AI development, reminding us of the complexity of human interactions with technology.
